Bringing your Number to OVIVO

If you’re bringing your existing mobile number over to OVIVO, you’ll need a fully activated OVIVO Account and SIM card, the mobile number you want to bring to our network, plus a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) from your existing mobile provider.

What you need to know before porting to OVIVO

  • Once we've got your Porting Authorisation Code (PAC), we'll bring your number over to us in one working day.
  • Your Phone and SIM must be in the UK on the day of transfer
  • If we receive your request after 5pm, your number won't be transferred until the following working day. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
  • You won't be able to receive calls on the OVIVO network until the transfer completes. This will be between 11am and 6pm on the day we bring over your number.
  • You'll still be able to receive calls on your old phone network until we've brought your number over to the OVIVO network
  • If there are any issues with the transfer, we will let you know
  • If you are eligible for any Transfer In Rewards, they will be credited to your account within 24 hours of the transfer completing successfully
  • Special Note for BlackBerry Users - When you bring your number to OVIVO, we cannot carry your BlackBerry subscription over onto your ported in number. If you bring your number to OVIVO after having activated your BlackBerry subscription, you will need to need to re-activate your subscription by dialing 40090 from your BlackBerry*

Activating your SIM after Porting

Please fully reboot your handset at 6pm on the day of transfer (by removing your battery and SIM card) make one chargeable call and you're all set up on our network.

Logging in to My OVIVO after Porting

Once your number is transferred over, make sure you log into your My OVIVO account using your transferred in number (as opposed to the old OVIVO number).

Confirmation

 Yes My OVIVO Account and SIM are fully activated and I will be in the UK on the day my number is brought over to OVIVO. I wish to go ahead and bring my existing mobile number to OVIVO.
